Structure and main function of spring

　　Spring is a kind of mechanical part which uses elasticity to work. It is generally made of spring steel, which is used to control the movement of parts, mitigate impact or vibration, store energy, measure the magnitude of force, etc. It is widely used in machines and meters. The types of springs are complex and varied, according to their shapes, mainly including torsion spring, tension spring, etc.

　　According to the mechanical properties, the spring can be divided into tension spring, compression spring, torsion spring and bending spring. According to the shape, the spring can be divided into disc spring, ring spring, plate spring, spiral spring, truncated cone scroll spring and torsion bar spring. Ordinary cylindrical spring is the most widely used because of its simple manufacture and various types according to the loading conditions.

　　Generally speaking, the materials used to make WSAI spring should have high elastic limit, fatigue limit, impact toughness and good heat treatment performance. Commonly used are carbon spring steel, alloy spring steel, stainless spring steel, copper alloy, nickel alloy and rubber, etc. The manufacturing methods of spring include cold coil method and hot coil method. Spring wire diameter less than 8 mm is generally cold rolled, and more than 8 mm is hot rolled. After some springs are made, strong pressure or shot peening is needed to improve the bearing capacity of the springs.
